Topics of basic theory, structure, and reactions of hydrocarbons; alkyl halides; stereochemisty; alkenes, alkynes, alchohols; IR & NMR spectroscopy; and mass spectrometry are covered in this section. Concurrent lab (CHM 3149) required. Offered every fall semester.
